Soul's Desire

This is the memory of us.

If you forget them, it’s alright. 

I am going to remind it to you.

“Juutaro Matsuda?” Rae was looking for the student who supposed to pair in this game. Juu was sleeping in the field with his manga and hid his face. Juu woke up and saw this girl. 
He knew this girl. 
He never thought he could get chance to finally know her. 
They have to be pair up for this evening screaming night.  But, everyone knows Midore Akabana, Rae, is Daichi Kyose’s girlfriend.

        Midore, Rae, she’s really nice person and devoted girlfriend, she’s sincerely doing everything for Daichi. But, no one really know Daichi except he’s always busy studying for medical school. Rae, always be seen by Juu as that girl he wanted to know since middle school. But, it was just a normal Sunday at time, Juu was going to festival and ask Rae, but he saw Daichi and his nerd boys came to Rae and they both became history.

Rae remembers Juu but just classmate who barely talk to him nowadays. 
They both together the whole night. Something new Juu learned Rae is really a coward girl. She scared and  kept running so fast and puts Juu had to keep up. But, thanks to that, they ended came to the finish line and won the prizes. 
Juutaro Matsuda and Midore Akabana annointed as Scream King and Queen of the Year.

Yet, Daichi was pairing with this girl, and Rae saw he cheated on her. Rae cried alone and Juu who didn’t know why she was crying, stayed near her all night.

The next day, Juu thought if he could comfort Rae but then he saw Daichi was angry at Rae, telling Rae to break up with him. 
Daichi said he was sick with her.

Juu was so mad as he wants to confront Daichi, but Rae somehow pushing Daichi and he fell to the ground.

She said, “I never need you to be with me, but you asked me. I don’t care if you are now dating with other girl. But, I only want to keep my promise I made to you.”

Juutaro is following Rae after that and Rae aware of that.

“What promise did you make?”

“To love him the best I can.”

Without talking again, they kept together the whole afternoon. And, when they back to the camp, Daichi was waiting Rae to return. 
Rae and Daichi back again together. Juu realized he started to like her, again.

Juu is sport person. He wasn’t really at school but a racer with car and motorcycle. 
After the outbound, Rae starts to talk with Juu. 
While, Daichi was in different class. 

Juu is really a friendly person and he sees how people adore his achievements. Rae, instead if there’s a time, get to sleep in class. She's changing from the time Juu knew form middle school. It's not like she doesn't have many friends, she still has, but it's not her concern anymore. Luckily, Juu got several times to cover her while she slept in class.

Rae realized Juutaro started to talk with her and somehow, they once again having time to one another. Juu asked Rae to help him with keep up the study, while Juu asked Rae to come see him once in a while in racing rehearsing. 

Rae was amazed and felt the thrilling. 
Juu saw that and he’s been looking for this girl in his life.

He doesn't have things that can’t be his but Rae seems already with Daichi.

“If you have free time, would you like to...” and Rae always has her free time to accompany Juu.

Daichi always failing on everything. He keeps busy with his medical school and his relationship with Rae keeping apart but Rae just stayed. When he did not know where to go, then he called Rae and she straight to come.

"I don't need a hero. I don't need to be saved." Rae and Juu’s conversation always end up like this.

“I know.” Said Juutaro to Rae, “But just like you, I only want stay right here, for you.”  

Rae was from the broken family. She didn't have anyone who really loves her instead, she was the reason love was broken.

Rae once pray and asked God, if she can have true love, she would never let it go and broken. 

"I had been want this, first, didn't I?" That's why Rae couldn't give up on Daichi. 

After high school, Juutaro keeps climbing up and success as a young racer while Daichi is struggling with get fund of his medical tuition and broke. Rae gets to work and started to spend her money for Daichi whenever he needs. Everything has their own paths and those driven them apart.

Two years later, a breaking news Juutaro gets into crash on circuit race game. He lost memories. Juutaro from a richman lost everything. The exact time things gone well to Daichi as he finally got his title and private practice. He got well as he dreamed.

But at that moment, Rae was losing her mind. She wasn’t there for Daichi but came to reach Juu.

“So this is how it feels. To get broke and to feel bad of myself.” 

Juutaro, since the crash realized the faces around him lied to him all this time. Knowing he is now useless and barely remember everything, he couldn't find any warm safe hands. 

Rae, she suddenly appears there, giving helping hands to him and find a way so Juutaro remember of himself.  Just like that, Rae starts to look at poor Juutaro.

If we thought that true love always wins as Juutaro naturally fallen in love once again with Rae. He also knows Rae is still Daichi's. 

"I don't need your pity."

Juutaro has back to his strength and asked Rae to leave him.

Rae cried,

"But, I need you."

The time, Rae and Juutaro realized they are in love, Daichi asked Rae to marry him.

"God, I have made my promise."

Rae said yes.

Juutaro also congratulated them.

On the engagement party, Juutaro starts to remember about the day of accident. He realized Daichi was involved. Pieces of memories.

Rae, later was looking for wedding dress and somehow, she didn't come to appointment. She came to Juutaro, he accompanied her and slowly lost dancing through the middle of the night

"Forgive me, Juutaro, " She kissed him. 

"Thank you for loving me." He said.

As they were about to part, a street at night looks dark and cloudy, sudden rush car almost caught Juutaro.

But this time, Rae turned around and went back saved him.

They lost their mind at the side of road, hugging and crying.

“Are you alright?”

They end up in the hospital.

Daichi came.

Once they discharged, Rae let go Juu’s hand alone.

She came back to Daichi. Daichi held her so tight, “Thank you.” 

Juutaro still believes of his feeling and decided to stop the wedding. Then like things happend in the past, Juutaro made things to put Rae’s attention but Juutaro then starts remember the crash again. This time pretty clear.

Daichi saving him in hospital.

Daichi was there thought he would see Juutaro just died but he knew Juutaro, the one who was Rae's true love.

So both men really love Rae.

"It's not alright. We are never alright."

Daichi told Rae and knowing Rae true love is Juutaro, after all.

"But, we always tried, didn't we?"

Juutaro decided to leave the country before the wedding day.

A year later.

Juutaro is getting his book released,“A Recovery Circuit”.

Daichi came. Juutaro see that wedding ring. He didn’t say much and glad Daichi still remember him and cherish their friendship.

Daichi read what Juu’s writing about him in his book and thank back, also he invited him for dinner. 

At dinner, Juutaro saw Daichi's wife is not Rae. 

Rae was going back to her hometown.

She lives with her mother and enjoyed to work part-time and travel.

She thought she might again cross-meet with Juutaro.

One day when she is enjoying the music at the local bar in the afternoon. Someone’s coming to her and asked for one dance.

"Do you want it?"

She took his hand.
